Airlines recovering more quickly, says Iata

Airlines are recovering from the global financial crisis more quickly than expected, with a surge in passenger numbers on a reduced number of aircraft leading to a rise in ticket prices, the leading industry trade body said on Thursday.

The International Air Transport Association now expects airlines to lose $2.8bn this year, half the $5.6bn loss that it forecast in December.
