Temasek seeks to reshape its image

Few sovereign wealth funds feel more misunderstood than Temasek Holdings. “There are a few misconceptions out there about us,” Simon Israel, executive director of the Singapore state investment fund told the Financial Times in a rare interview.

This whopping understatement underlines the insecurity the S$164bn ($108bn) fund feels about its image. “It is wrong to club everyone together as sovereign investors,” said Mr Israel.
