Abu Ghraib ‘ringleader’ given 10-year sentence

Specialist Charles Graner, the alleged ringleader of the Abu Ghraib scandal, was on Saturday sentenced to 10 years in prison for abusing inmates at the notorious Baghdad prison.

On Friday, Spec Graner, who appeared in many of the Abu Ghraib photographs that shocked the world last year, was convicted of five charges, including abusing prisoners and maltreating his subordinates.
