Sunny period or sustained progress in Mexico?

Mexico’s announcement this week that it plans to issue its first 30-year bond will please investors in that country’s debt, and will also delight the increasing number of investors in emerging market corporate debt.

While blue-chip companies based in emerging market countries are familiar names to many international investors, strong investor demand for the higher-yielding paper, and the concurrent deepening of some domestic markets, has helped spur interest in a far greater range of companies.
