Manganese Bronze raises £9m

Manganese Bronze, the London black taxi maker, has raised £9.4m ($15.3m) in a share placing aimed at bolstering its balance sheet amid poor UK trading and the expansion of a Chinese joint venture.

Shares in the company rose 22p, or 10.7 per cent, to 228p as investors generally welcomed the move.
