Lottery tax may give good causes extra £50m

Lottery contributions to good causes could rise by almost £50m ($98m) a year after the Treasury on Wednesday said it was re-examining the way it was taxed.

The current system sees 12p in every lottery pound go to the Treasury, paid as a set proportion of total sales.
