China likely to keep tax breaks for foreigners

China's top tax official admitted on Wednesday the government had yet to find a formula to end the special status enjoyed by foreign investors, nearly two years after Beijing committed to changing the policy.

Xie Xuren, the director of State Administration of Taxation, said on Wednesday that the government expected to continue to “study” the issue this year, without making a decision.
