Panasonic enters European white goods market

To enter a mature and notoriously competitive market during a recession might seem foolhardy, especially when that market loads its washing machines from the front, not the top.

Yet Panasonic’s launch of large white goods such as washing machines and refrigerators on the European market Tuesday reflects the Japanese electronics group’s rediscovered aggression and willingness to take risks.
