Britvic signals tough times ahead

Britvic underscored the difficult environment facing soft- drink producers by warning there was no end in sight to either falling pub sales or rising raw material prices.

The shares fell 18¼p to 237¼p after the maker of Robinson's squash said pub sales would "remain challenging" and the cost of raw materials would be higher than expected this year.
