Hargreaves Lansdown steady amidst turmoil

Hargreaves Lansdown, the private client asset manager, increased half year pre-tax profits by more than a quarter to £36.5m in spite of turbulent stock markets.

Peter Hargreaves, chief executive, said the results showed the “company is still nimble enough to adapt to changing conditions”.
