Risk ignored in product development

Asset managers are failing to put risk at the heart of product development. Fewer than a third of chief risk officers at UK asset managers felt they were sufficiently involved in developing new products, according to a survey conducted by Ernst & Young.

“We sometimes don’t get involved in managing product risks until after launch,” said one survey respondent.
