Anheuser-Busch, which capitulated earlier this month to a $52bn takeover bid from rival brewer InBev, said on Wednesday that price increases and the recent launch of its Bud Light Lime brand helped boost second-quarter sales and profits.
Missouri-based Anheuser said second-quarter net sales rose 4.6 per cent to $4.72bn, while its net income rose 1.8 per cent to $689.2m, or 95 cents per share.
