A new, inexpensive and simple way to go bankrupt, available online, is expected to increase significantly the number of insolvencies in England and Wales.

Accountants and debt agencies expect tens of thousands of indebted consumers on low incomes to declare themselves bankrupt using the new low-cost debt relief orders, launched this week.
