OMV chief still keen to pursue Mol bid

OMV said on Wednesday it remained committed to acquiring Mol in spite of the Hungarian oil and gas company’s success at deflecting almost all the Austrian oil group’s attempts to influence policy at last month’s shareholders’ meeting.

Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer, OMV chief executive, described the meeting as “a disappointment, but mainly for the capital markets”.
