Uranium programme high priority for Powell during his flying visit to Brazil

Colin Powell is on a tight schedule during his whirlwind visit to Brazil today, but the US secretary of state is expected to raise the issue of its uranium enrichment programme.

Brazil's reluctance to allow a full international inspection of its enrichment facilities has become a headache for the US in its effort to block nuclear weapons programmes in Iran and elsewhere.
