No more love-bombs in Brown’s late credo

For two years, Gordon Brown has been challenged to set out his vision for Britain. Monday’s policy document – entitled “Building Britain’s Future” – is probably as close to a vision as the prime minister is going to get.

Mr Brown’s aides wince at the “V” word and his ministers become defensive when challenged on why the prime minister has taken so long to map out his credo.
