Amlin could relocate over tax changes

Amlin, the biggest UK-listed Lloyd’s insurer by market capitalisation, has joined the ranks of companies threatening to leave the UK because of the Treasury’s proposed reforms of the way it taxes companies’ foreign profits.

Charles Philipps, chief executive, said that if changes were made to the way foreign profits were taxed, this was “more likely to tip the balance against us staying”.
