Moss Bros plunges on warning

Further evidence of the pressure on consumers came on Wednesday as Moss Bros, the suit retailer and formal wear hire company, warned that “lower levels of footfall and sales in the last seven weeks” meant it did not now expect to achieve consensus profit forecasts for the full year to the end of January.

The shares plunged 13 per cent to 33p in afternoon London trading.
