City places bets on Blair’s future

Within hours of Tony Blair's historic victory, business leaders urged the new government to reduce regulation and rule out further tax rises on business.

Sir Digby Jones, director-general of the CBI employers' organisation, urged the government to be “courageous” in the big decisions facing the country.
