Minister warns on university funding

Britain’s universities need to find more money from the private sector by charging businesses for “bespoke training” and other initiatives, said David Lammy, higher education minister.

Speaking at the annual conference of Universities UK in Edinburgh, Mr Lammy warned institutions current levels of public investment were “unlikely to be sustainable in future”.
