New rules for recipients of US stimulus funds

The Obama administration will next month introduce new reporting requirements for recipients of Recovery Act funds, asking for clear information about how many jobs have been saved or created with the $143bn spent on stimulus-related projects since February.

The White House and Office of Management and Budget on Wednesday said the move was “unprecedented” in the scope and scale of reporting.
