Entrepreneurs feel hammered again

What business leaders wanted from Alistair Darling’s first pre-Budget report was simple: measures to support entrepreneurs, after the spring Budget had unexpectedly hit small businesses.

Instead the chancellor delivered a further blow to entrepreneurs, with a hike in capital gains tax, extra local levies on business rates and no attempt to respond to complaints over the increase in corporation tax for small companies earlier this year.
