Max IPO sparks hopes of flotation thaw

Max Property Group, the UK’s first initial public offering of the year, raised hopes of a broader recovery yesterday as it raised £200m and saw its first day share price rise 30 per cent to 130p.

The real estate investment company, headed by experienced entrepreneur Nick Leslau, is the largest European IPO this year.
