Sales at Dunelm rose over the past 10 weeks as the home furnishings retailer capitalised on the demise of competitors.

Dunelm also said it would create up to 1,000 new jobs after reporting that sales at stores open for more than a year were 16.1 per cent higher than the same period last year.
