Chrystia Freeland is the US managing editor at the Financial Times, based in New York. Previously, she was the deputy editor and editor, FT Electronic Services. She has been the editor of the Weekend edition of the FT and was the editor of FT.com, overseeing the launch of online subscription services in May 2001.
Between 1999 and 2001, she was the deputy editor of The Globe & Mail, Toronto. From 1994 to 1999, she worked at the FT, holding several positions, including UK news editor, Moscow bureau chief and Eastern Europe correspondent.
