BP denies plans for renewables arm IPO

BP has moved its alternative energy division into new offices in London’s County Hall, on the south bank of the Thames, in a sign of its attempts to establish the unit as a stand-alone business.

Vivienne Cox, BP’s executive vice-president for alternative energy, said the company had “no plans” to float the division, which BP believes is worth $5bn-$7bn.
