Business body looks to restrain AGs

The US Chamber of Commerce, the most powerful business lobby in Washington, plans action to restrain the "activist" state attorneys-general it sees as a "serious threat" to corporate America.

One possibility under consideration is to file ethics complaints to the relevant bar association against any attorney-general who uses the media to publicise allegations against individuals before charges are filed, or who threatens criminal indictments against individuals or companies in order to secure civil settlements.
