Israel in ‘all-out war’ on Hamas

Israeli armoured vehicles and troops massed along Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip on Tuesday as war planes continued their bombardment for a fourth day.

Israel declared it was in “all-out war” against Hamas and vowed to continue its campaign until the Palestinian militant group put an end to its rocket attacks on Israel. Prime minister Ehud Olmert said on Tuesday it was the ”first of several stages” of military action.
