Reckitt ponders move abroad to save UK taxes

Reckitt Benckiser may join the growing list of companies shifting their tax headquarters out of the UK, as its overseas employees become more reluctant to relocate to Britain owing to the high cost of living.

Bart Becht, chief executive of the consumer goods group, said it was holding “ongoing discussions” on the possibility of moving its tax headquarters abroad amid concerns over high corporate and income taxes.
