SNP celebrates European victory in Scotland

The Scottish National party was on Monday celebrating winning the largest share of the European election vote in Scotland.

The SNP won 29.1 per cent of the vote, compared with 20.8 per cent for Labour. This makes the nationalists poised to threaten Labour in forthcoming Westminster by-elections such as Glasgow North East, the outgoing speaker’s seat, and the general election.
