Greek public sector strike shuts services

A one-day strike by Greek public sector workers protesting against a pay freeze for higher-paid employees shut down schools and transport services across the country on Thursday.

Athens international airport closed for four hours as air traffic controllers staged a stoppage, causing long flight delays and cancellations on domestic routes.
