TV Azteca plans to delist from NYSE

Shares in TV Azteca, the Mexican broadcaster fighting fraud allegations from regulators in the US and Mexico, fell 7 per cent in early trading on Tuesday after the company announced it intended to delist from the New York Stock Exchange.

Ricardo Salinas Pliego, chairman and controlling shareholder, also announced he had asked for an injunction against an insider trading suit launched against him last week by Mexico's treasury department.
