Software group Huddle boss Ali Mitchell will be toasting with co-founder and strategy director Andy McLoughlin after the company's new partnership with HP, the big PC seller.
The US computer group will pre-install copies of London-based Huddle's collaboration application on its computers and laptops for small and medium-sized businesses. HP took notice of Huddle when it became one of the first third-party applications on business networking sites LinkedIn and Xing. HP chose the UK company over competitors in its Silicon Valley backyard. Launched in 2006, Huddle has raised £3m in seed funding from Eden Ventures and Mr Mitchell hopes to close a second round of financing early next year.
