Digital Business’s online offering is about to leapfrog from a very static Web 1.0 format straight over Web 2.0 and land firmly in Web 3.0.
I can say this with confidence, given the vagueness with which the various stages of internet development are defined. But one emerging definition I was struck by recently came from a McKinsey man: it is the idea that Web 2.0 is a world in which anyone can have a go at generating content; Web 3.0 is where professionals take the lead in shaping that content.
