Nokia to take control of UK's Symbian

Nokia struck back against Google yesterday by unveiling plans that should increase sales of its mobile phones and boost revenues from wireless web services.

The world's largest handset maker announced it was taking control of Symbian, the UK company responsible for the most popular operating system on smartphones.
