There is light at the end of the tunnel

The dash to snap up infrastructure assets – from airports and toll roads to gas pipelines and water plants – has been plain to see over the last two years.

But the emergence of what has become a definable asset class has also seen the creation of a new breed of equity investor and a new type of leveraged finance provider. Their influence may extend to companies that do not traditionally regard themselves as infrastructure specialists.
