Sarkozy and Brown list joint plans

Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy promised on Thursday to create a “partnership of pioneers” between Britain and France to tackle global crises, climate change and reform of international institutions.

At a press conference at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium in north London, the prime minister and French president pledged to “deepen and strengthen” their relationship with more regular meetings between ministers and senior officials.
