Mulberry Group, the luxury brand best known for its leather handbags, said it had not experienced the pain felt by others on the high street and is planning new product launches, such as women’s shoes.
In a similar vein to Burberry, its peer and near-namesake, the company – controlled by Challice, the vehicle of the Singaporean Ong family – brushed aside fears the financial crisis would hurt demand for its upmarket products, toted by the likes of Kate Moss, the model.
