Celgene the good guy in the history of thalidomide

Sir, I agree that thalidomide brought incredible misery to many newborns, resulting in conditions that they and their families have suffered with for a lifetime. However, to argue that Celgene could make a gesture to those so afflicted is not responsible ("Thalidomide at 50", editorial September 24).
