An apparent system failure at the London Stock Exchange on Tuesday threw the FTSE’s quarterly index reshuffle into chaos.
The index review will be announced on Wednesday using last night’s prices. However, a problem distributing data left traders without reliable closing readings for nearly 1½ hours after UK markets had shut.
