Cheap drinks steady Luminar

Cut-price drink promotions helped halt the slide in trade at Luminar but the nightclub operator said trading conditions remained difficult as the economic slump forced people to spend more time at home.

The group, which operates the Liquid and Oceana chains, said cheap drinks deals – including 90p beer and vodka at some of its venues – had tempted some partygoers back into its clubs during August.
