Moneysupermarket unveils plans to float

Moneysupermarket.com on Friday announced its intention to list on the London Stock Exchange to fund the price comparison website’s expansion.

The company, which was launched from a terraced house in Chester in 1999 and now employs about 600 people, did not say how much it intends to raise from the listing, but the business was recently valued at about £1bn by banks.
