Ball offered top job at ITV

ITV offered the job of chief executive to Tony Ball more than a week ago but has so far been unable to agree terms and conditions with the former head of British Sky Broadcasting, according to people familiar with the talks.

ITV and Mr Ball were holding talks over the structure and conditions of a turnround incentive award for Mr Ball akin to a similar plan in place for Michael Grade, the current executive chairman, the people said.
