British business rejects bribery warning

British business hit out on Friday night after it was branded with a corruption health warning in a stinging report on London’s failure to pursue BAE Systems’ Saudi Arabian arms deals and other cases of suspected foreign bribery.

The CBI employers’ organisation rejected claims by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development that foreign multinationals and institutions dealing with British companies would have to take extra care – and spend more cash – to avoid becoming entangled in corruption.
