Rescuers in Egypt were still trying on Sunday to remove huge boulders which tumbled from a cliff on the eastern edge of Cairo crushing under 50 homes in a slum area.

At least 31 people were killed in Ezbet Bekhit when the rocks fell off the Muqattam hills in the early hours of Saturday morning. Many residents are missing, believed to have been buried under the rockslide and the rubble of their homes.
