Congo peacekeeping thrown into disarray

The world's largest peacekeeping operation - in the Democratic Republic of Congo - is in disarray after fighting in the east of the country has called into question multi-billion dollar efforts to rebuild the failed state at Africa's heart.

Yesterday, the United Nations Security Council voted to renew the mandate of the 18,000 peacekeepers for a year.
