Danone firm on targets after sales rise

PARIS, Oct 22 - French food group Danone stuck to its targets to grow sales and profits this year after third-quarter like-for-like sales rose 8.3 per cent, driven by its fresh dairy and baby food businesses.

Revenue increased to €3.85bn ($5.08bn) in the period, Danone said in a statement on Wednesday. The growth in consolidated reported sales was 31 per cent, mainly following the purchase of Dutch baby food maker Numico a year ago.
