African markets ‘escape unhurt’

Frontier African markets should continue to enjoy isolation from broader market trends after escaping relatively unscathed from the recent turmoil in emerging markets, according to new research.

Many lesser-known markets in Africa, including Nigeria, Mauritius and Ghana, proved quite resilient to the sharp sell-off that battered most emerging markets in May and June.
