Network Rail criticised over west coast line

Rail regulators have demanded the company that runs the rail network produces a credible plan to improve service on the London to Glasgow line after a slump in punctuality.

Bill Emery, chief executive of the Office of Rail Regulation, singled out problems on the west coast line as one of the biggest difficulties for Network Rail.
