O2 chief believes the future is rosy

O2 , the UK’s largest mobile phone operator, has given a bullish assessment of the company’s prospects, insisting that it can raise its revenue this year in spite of the recession.

Ronan Dunne, chief executive of O2 UK, says that the operator should increase its revenue from mobile phone customers this year compared with 2008, even though he expects the industry’s sales to be flat or falling in 2009.
